"...You must understand though the touch of your hand
Makes my pulse react
That it's only the thrill of boy meeting girl
Opposites attract
It's physical
Only logical"

Tina Turner 'What's Love Got To Do With It'  1984

Augusta Vinall Richardson is a Melbourne based artist. Her practice engages with identity formation within the gendered landscape of advertising and consumer culture. Given this exposure to media, she wonders how personal identity creation occurs, and how desire manifests itself within belief systems that are unidentifiable, or unable to be labelled. Augusta has a multi disciplinary practice, involving video, painting, photography and textiles. She has completed a Bachelor of Visual Art at the Victorian College of the Arts.
